Everything you need to know.
PixelCrown is a million-square race. Stack squares while the round is live. Top buyer at the end wins the next round — its full revenue and the right to reshape it.
The mechanic
Each roundhas a fixed pool of squares — typically 1,000,000 — sold at $1 each. Players buy as many squares as they want. Squares are placed contiguously around the buyer's cluster (you can also pick exact coordinates).
When the round sells out, the player holding the most squares wins. The winner becomes the owner of the next round.
The prize split
Total revenue R of a round = squares sold × $1. R is distributed at round close across four buckets — every cent visible on chain:
80% to the top 25. Split with a 1/√rank decay — #1 wins the largest slice (~11% of R), #25 the smallest (~2%). On a $1M sellout that's ≈ $87k for #1 and ≈ $17k for #25.
10% to the round owner. The previous round's winner. They also choose the round's silhouette — upload any photo and only those cells become sellable.
10% platform fee. Covers Vercel infra, the Neon database, payment provider fees, and the work of running round transitions. Out of this 10%, the platform redistributes 10% of the fee as community giveaways (flat $100 USDT drops to random non-top-25 buyers — typically dozens of winners per round). See an example on round 2's giveaway page.
Payment
Every transaction — buy-in and payout — runs on chain. No fiat rails, no chargebacks, no middlemen censoring the contest. Prizes settle the same day a round closes.
Risks & fairness
PixelCrown is not an investment. Your only return is the chance to win one of the top-25 slots (or get lucky in the $100 community lottery) when the round closes. You may lose what you spend. Crypto transactions are irreversible.
Every round's payouts are public: 80% top-25 split, 10% owner payout, 10% platform fee (of which 10% is redistributed as $100 community giveaways). Each on-chain transfer is visible on the round's payout pages and verifiable on the relevant block explorer.

Common questions
What if two people tie for #1?▾
Tie-break is by earliest purchase. Whoever hit that square count first wins.
Can I sell my squares?▾
Squares stay associated with your account permanently and are not tradable in v1. Secondary market is a possible future expansion.
How long does a round last?▾
Rounds last until sold out. Round 1 has no time pressure; future rounds may have time-bounded modes.
What happens if a round doesn’t sell out?▾
The platform may extend or refund pending squares. Round 1 has a guaranteed completion clause.
Do I need a crypto wallet?▾
Yes — both to pay for squares and to receive payouts if you win. We support BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, USDT, and USDC.
